Blair Packham has been composing music for film and television since 1991. Though his work is often based on his go-to palette of guitars/bass/drums, Blair welcomes opportunities to step up sonically, exploring other genres, or devising and designing new sounds to underscore a story’s emotions. Not just a strictly instrumental composer, Blair is often called on to write songs—with lyrics and vocals—for opening/closing themes, feature montages, or even for source music.
Amongst others, Blair has scored feature films Hollywood North (starring Matthew Modine and Jennifer Tilly), Triggermen (starring Pete Postlethwaite, Michael Rappaport, Neil Morrissey, and Donnie Wahlberg), and Move Your World (a feature documentary about youth AIDS in Africa).
Blair’s TV credits include NHL Tonight!, Beyblade, The Jane Show, Esmé & Roy, Spliced!, Skin Deep, Destiny Ridge, and Dawson’s Creek, for clients such as TSN, Teletoon, Global Television, CBC Newsworld, Nelvana/Sesame Street, the WB, and Oxygen.
